Ant Colony

1024x768 Size: 303 kb

This turned out to be much more difficult than I thought. I wanted it to be a view from inside an ant hill, looking down several tunnels at once. But since you can only point the camera one direction at a time I had to opt for a more cavernous approach.

Bubble Ring

1024x768 Size: 350 kb

Bryce 5 has meta-balls that can create amorphic shapes like these bubbles.  (Dolphins do blow bubble rings.)

The Crane

1024x768 Size: 210 kb

I always wanted to try drawing those mountains in China. These are most like the Karst mountains, and the Li river.

The Desert

1024x768 Size: 365 kb

I drew this during a heat wave, what else would be on my mind?

The Dolphin

1024x768 Size: 83 kb

My first experiments with lighting gels in Bryce.

Dolphin Park

1024x768 Size: 259 kb

I used a volumetric cube to create the hazy effect of the pool, and terrains for the waves. The dolphins and boy were made using Poser

Dolphin Pod

1024x768 Size:139 kb

This came about after seeing my previous Dolphin from a camera angle above the water. It gave me this idea, which came out quite nice. (It is the same water, with a new sky, and without the light gel.)

Estuary

1024x768 Size:263 kb

Here are a couple of manatees I drew with Amorphium.

Honeycomb

1024x768 Size: 116 KB

A wallpaper for people who like to wall off their desktop icons in wax sealed cells.

Horse Pasture

1024x768 Size: 249 KB

The drinking horse was part of a different unfinished image. Which has much less chance of being finished now that I borrowed it's subject for this one.

Howler

1024x768 Size: 303 kb

Another popular moon image. Each time I put up another "big moon," I get dozens of requests for more.

Ice-olation

1024x768 Size: 138 KB

An Emperor Penguin enjoys a moment of isolation in the sun.

Into The Sun

1024x768 Size:289 kb

This one went through several settings, and two horses before I finally had a finished image I was happy with. The horse was created in Poser, but I did a bit of tweaking, as I wasn't fond of the default horse.

Lone Orca

1024x768 Size: 211 kb

I continue to touch up the Orcas I created in Amorphium.  I like how easy it is to bend the model from nose to tail, creating a new pose.

Mud Hole

1024x768 Size: 352 kb

Watch out for the natural inhabitants.

Mule Deer

1024x768 Size: 443 KB

I had been working on these strange trees for awhile without much of a subject, until I thought of adding some deer. Now I'm happy.

Orcas' Dream

1024x768 Size:191 kb

I first used these Orcas I made in a logo wallpaper project for including on computers sold by Ice-Comp.  I'll probably use them again sometime.

Predator

1024x768 Size: 344 KB

A computer crash wiped this image out. Which turned out to be a good thing, because after recreating it, this version of the shark is much better than the original.

Puddle Jumper

1024x768 Size: 269 kb

I thought I would be disappointed with the realism, but it came out much better than expected.

Pyramids

1024x768 Size:153 kb

A simple play on shapes and contrast.  I like the way the composition came together.

Raptor

1024x768 Size: 226 kb

Hey Dino, Fred's home!
This was an experiment in simulating motion with a still image.

Spider Shelter

1024x768 Size: 225 kb

I plan on doing a series of close up pictures like this, with even more detail. That is, when I have time for all the extra work it requires.

Whish Upon A Wave

1024x768 Size: 222 KB

It would be easier to soar with the eagles than to swim with this dolphin.

Winter Eve

1024x768 Size: 278 kb

When I started this rendering it was almost warm outside. As I worked, the weather grew colder and started to snow. I'm sure that was just a coincidence. <wink>
